Bonjour tout le monde,
Il s’est passé peu de choses ici durant l’année qui vient de s’écouler. Mais loin des écrans, il y a eu du mouvement !
- J’ai commencé un nouveau travail palpitant mais très chronophage.
- J’ai fini le premier jet d’un roman qui me tient beaucoup à cœur.
- J’ai entamé la relecture et la première réécriture du-dit roman.
- J’ai expérimenté de nouveaux types de collages.
- J’ai pris le temps de ne rien faire et de penser aux miens et à moi.
Ça m’a fait beaucoup de bien.
Depuis janvier j’ai complètement déserté Instagram. Pas d’annonce en grande pompe, pas de manifeste anti-GAFAM. Je n’ai pas cette étoffe-là (même si je n’en pense pas moins). J’ai simplement arrêté d’y aller.
Tout d’un coup, ça a fait moins de bruit dans ma vie.
Et ça ne m’a pas manqué.
Bien sûr je pense de temps en temps aux belles plumes et aux artistes de talent que j’ai pu rencontrer sur cette plateforme. Je vais sûrement y retourner de temps en temps, en dilettante.
Mais je n’ai plus le goût de me connecter souvent, de sentir qu’un moment d’inadvertance me laisse glisser dans l’algorithme et réveille en moi une FOMO insoupçonnée.
Je veux tester autre chose, une autre plateforme où je puisse aller à mon rythme. Je vais bientôt me lancer sur Substack à l’adresse suivante : https://ouranide.substack.com/

L’avantage de Substack c’est que tout arrive dans votre boite aux lettres sans pub (pas comme mon système D pour vous transmettre les news dans vos mails). Vous pouvez aussi consulter les articles en ligne ou sur l’appli. C’est pratique, bien fait.
Et ça me permettra, j’espère, de trouver un endroit sympathique pour lancer quelques mots à l’aventure.

Hello everyone,
Not much has happened here over the past year. But away from the screens, things have been moving!
- I moved jobs for an exciting but very time-consuming position.
- I finished the first draft of a novel that means a lot to me.
- I began proof-reading and doing the first rewrite of said novel.
- I experimented with new types of collages.
- I took the time to do nothing and to think about my loved ones and myself.
It did me a lot of good.
Since January, I’ve completely abandoned Instagram. No big announcement, no anti-Tech Giants manifesto. I’m not cut out for that (even if I don’t think any less of it). I just stopped going.
Suddenly, life got a bit quieter.
And I didn’t miss it.
Of course, I sometimes think of the wonderful writers and talented artists I discovered on that platform. I’ll probably go back from time to time, casually.
But I no longer feel like logging in regularly, or like letting a moment of distraction pull me back into the algorithm and awaken some hidden FOMO.
I want to try something else – a different platform where I can move at my own pace. I’ll soon be launching on Substack, at the following address: https://ouranide.substack.com/
And hopefully, it’ll allow me to find a friendly place to send a few words out into the world.
